This large and snuggly triangle-shaped shawl is worked from the top down in three contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn.

The textured zig-zags stand out against the background and appear by changing foreground and background alternately. Working only one color yarn at a time, simple slipped stitches and garter are used to feature textured raised bars that create a stripey vertical chevron pattern.

With plenty of room to play with color in the three zig-zagging sections, you will be able to find your own combination of fun!!!!

Instructions are both written and charted, so you’ll be comfortable knitting, whatever your preference might be.

Suggested Yarn: Baah La Jolla (100% Superwash Merino 400yrds/115grams)

  • MC: Pebble, 1 skein/300 yards,
  • CC1: Tequila Lime, 1 skein/400yards,
  • CC2: Singing the Blues 1 skein/350yards

Needles: US 5/3.75mm, US 7/4.5mm for bind off

Notions: 2 Stitch markers, Tapestry needle, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches in Chart A. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn
requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.

Finished size: 68”x30” after light blocking.

New Techniques to try: knit, purl, slip, yarn-over, increases-m1r, m1l
