Started the first one last night. These go fast! I’m using fingering held triple and it makes a very firm fabric on the size 4 needles. I was able to stuff the body pretty firmly and you can’t see the stuffing through the gray of the body.

Planning to use mods for the ears and hind legs. I saved those patterns as favorites so they should be showing here on the project page.

I still need to stuff the head so it looks right and then make ears and legs. (That’s why only the hind end is showing in the pictures )

I modified the ear modification. LOL!
After row 5 don’t bind off. Switch to the inside ear color.
K all 5
P all 5
decrease round: SSK K1 K2tog
P all 3
BO by doing a centered double decrease. (Sl2 K1, PSSO) and tie off.

Made a second gray rat body and head. Ears and legs still pending.
Also started a white rat with a pink tail using some of my cotton stash. Body is done, head is in progress. On the white one I picked up stitches for the head instead of doing a provisional cast on. I think I will prefer the look of the provisional cast on.
