What I love most about this pattern is that the little chains between the fingers mean the mitts don’t roll down your hand, as stockinette otherwise tends to do. They’re fitted, and dainty but sturdy, and the beads make them a little bit blingy, too.

ETA: Except that I’ve decided not to bead these ones…


I worked 30 rounds of the chart (as opposed to 18) to make the cuff longer. I also increased to 66 sts for the thumb, to fit my MIL’s hands.

I used a crochet hook for the between-finger chains -- the instructions in the pattern are ingenious in that they allow you to make a crochet chain using only knitting needles, but really, if you can crochet, that’s sort of a moot point. The crochet hook was much faster!

Blocked the hands (not the cuffs) to an 8” circumference.
