I designed these thumbless mittens to go over my fingerless gloves. They have a slit near the wrist so I can fold them over and take my fingers out. Attached to this wrist is a wide knitted ribbon type thing that slips over my thumb and goes behind my thumb. This is there to hold the mitts on my hand while open. It’s rather ugly, but it works very well and fairly unique. The rest of the paw is pretty standard with a k2,p2 cuff for extra elasticity, stockinette palm, and weird slip stitch pattern on the back that mimics the back of an animal paw (like faux finger separators).
