Making this for my daughter’s friend who has a photography business.

From cast on to first decrease round: 36 rounds

On first decrease round, marked 1st stitch, skipped the next 18, and marked the next stitch. Resumed decrease rounds and bound off.

Did as others suggested and picked up stitches to knit ears right onto the hat. First stitch I picked up was one below the marked one (I ran out of stitches to pick up if I didn’t do this). Picked up 6 stitches and completed ears according to the instructions with the EXCEPTION of doing an SSK for the first decrease on the fourth row.

Very easy knit! The yarn was soft and easy to knit with.
