Divided for sleeves.

How I’m blending skeins:

• skein 1 for swatch
• skeins 1 and 2 for yoke
• set aside skein 2 after arm split; save for sleeves to blend with skein 5
• skeins 1 and 3 for body
• body will eventually be skeins 3 and 4, then 4 and 5.

This way, one of the yarns from the yoke is continuing down the sleeves and body for gradual blending.

Meh. The pattern photos gave the impression of some sort of mock cable effect with the eyelets at the bottom of the body. Nope. It’s just columns of eyelets. Rather boring. We’ll see how this looks worn. And how comfy it ends up being. I might be adding to the frogging pile.

Done knitting. 18 ends to weave in, then blocking. Will it be dry for decent photos? Who knows.

I’m hoping the drape and everything will block out nicely (as it did in the swatch), because unblocked the fit is weird and uncomfortable. If things don’t improve with blocking this will be frogged, because I’m not thrilled with the pattern.

Hopefully they’ll count this for the KAL, because yes, I knit 1/2 rather than 3/4 sleeves, but that change should not cause me to use 200yds less than the yardage for the smallest (34”) size (especially when the size I knit was two sizes larger (41.5”).

This is why I hate it when yardage requirements are listed as number of skeins rather than actual yardage used - you usually end up way overbuying. Luckily I was in the return window, so I was able to get my money back for my two extra skeins of yarn that the pattern said I needed.
