Notes

I’ve always had good luck with this pattern/formula.

CO 64 sts with backwards loop.
2x2 ribbing for 30 rounds.
Switch to stockinette for 30 rounds.
Next row, mark thumb: k1, k12 with scrap yarn. Transfer scrap yarn stitches back to left needle, pick up working yarn and knit again to end of round.
K 20 rounds, then divide for fingers.

Index: 20 stitches, 32 rounds
Middle: 16 stitches, 40 rounds
Ring: 14 stitches, 35 rounds
Pinky: 14 stitches, 30 rounds

Pick up 2 fourchette stitches between each finger.

Thumb: Pick up 2 sts each side of thumb, k 8 rounds, then decrease 5 sts over next several rounds: 24 stitches. Work 34 rounds total.
