I only needed 1 skein of the off-white for a single pad, not 2. Took about 2 hours to crochet each pad (not including weaving in ends).
Yarn amounts shown above are for TWO pads.
Approximate grams/yards used for ONE pad:
Off-white: 45 g (49 yds)
Yellow: 25 g (27 yds)
Dark Rose: 20 g (22 yds)
Pink: 36 g (39 yds)
Green: 15 g (16 yds)
Blue: 15 g (17 yds)
So, one skein of the dark rose, green, and blue can be used to make 2 pads. The yellow MIGHT make 2, depends on your gauge - it will be close. (I had about a yard of yellow left after making 2 pads.) You definitely need 2 skeins of pink and white to make 2 pads.
If you don’t care if they’re identical, then you MIGHT get two pads using only one skein of pink if you switched colors around - for example, make one as in the pattern, and make one switching the green and pink (In which case, I might also switch the blue and dark rose.)
After I placed my yarn order, I realized that I probably ordered the wrong color blue - the pattern calls for 21m, which doesn’t seem to exist. I ordered 21, but that is “Greyish Blue”, while the pattern calls for “blue/violet”. I think it should have been 41m, which is a blue/purple mix. But that’s OK, it will look fine.
I’ve wanted to make these chair pads ever since I first saw the pattern. I thought they’d be perfect for the bench in my mudroom.
Pre-felting: 44cm / 17” (slightly less than gauge).
After felting: 33 cm/13”
Used the rest of my yarn to make 2 more pads, but had to change the colors a little so that I would have enough yarn.
The yarn was perfect - no bleeding of colors at all when washed/felted in warm water.
