What a sweet little project this is!♥

Made entire project from scrap yarn.

Beaks knitted with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino (3 rows decreasing on K rows, then pull through 3 stitches and seam to body).

Stuffing for birds and nest Peace Fleece pencil roving.

To make the nest:
I used a large crochet hook (K?) and crocheted around (much like you would for a hat) with the pencil roving until it was a decent size. I then felted it in the washing machine. I put it through a hot wash in a mesh bag probably four times with dishsoap to get it good and felted. The mohair content of the Peace Fleece adds a lovely textural element to the finished nest. Very pleased with the results! :)
