Pattern in Finnish - but chart and numbers are universal and Google Translate helped with figuring out the rest… Cast on 88 stitches with doubled strand of both colors (176 total - I used ‘chinese waitress cast-on’) and then double knit a few plain rows and then start the chart.

The pattern says to do 3 more plain rows, after the chart is completed, before starting decrease rows for crown (also on chart) - and that the straight part before decreases measured 14 cm… It’s a for a friend who wants to give it to a Rooster Lover… she’s thrilled - the best compliment a knitter can ever receive!

Blue yarn was some I overdyed for a gradient shawl (with yellow/dark blue/red) and HATED the results… it looked like Blue yarn that had accidentally had yellow/blue/red ink spilled on it… :p But the blue-green part actually kind of works for a showy Rooster on a manly hat. :D
