8/31/12 - Finished late last night. Came in at 450 yds. for color A (black) and 500 yds for color B (blue/green) - so glad I was able to find additional yarn. Lesson learned - NEVER skimp yardage that will be needed.

8/27/12 - having to do major self-motivation to get this done in time for contest deadline. about 20 stripes into 2nd wing. I guess some actually got it done without modifications, and you have inspired me to keep at this! Thanks!

8/11/12 - week 4 - Doing MAJOR happy dance - found another skein of Baby Ull in reasonable fascimile to black I already had at Great Yarns in Chapel Hill. Showed off shawl-in-progress to shop-keeper and she was very complimentary and would like to see finished project. {blushes with pride} Thanks, everyone, for keeping me motivated (I have a teeny problem with UFO’s)

8/9/12 - Week 4 - Decided to follow pattern, though mods are interesting. Found a 2nd dyed sock blank here on Ravelry (yay!), since I’m still on right wing and beginning the the last color change (light turquoise) and still have left side wing to go. Hope the black holds out, though it would be easier to replace. Hope I get it done for the deadline to enter the KAL contest.

7/22/12 - High contrast of light green to black is resolving, now that it’s moving towards darker green/blue. Still not sure this is the best yarn (the Happy Choices) but I’m going to stick it out. The black (100% superwash wool) is kinda pill-y already :( Hope I don’t regret it.

7/16/12 - Going with option “B” - the Happy Choices. Kinda boring at first - about 10 wedges of dark purple with black edging, but now that the teal is starting, it’s getting a little more interesting.

7/14/12 - Stash Busting - can’t decide - blue/green or blue/purple? :) Either way - I’m a little short on yardage :(
