Wow, this pattern is a walk in the park, especially at the proper gauge. I am also doing this pattern in a DK weight and it’s much slower going. I started this little guy today, thinking that it would last me at least until the wool for my next project came in… No such luck. I’ll be over halfway by the end of the night! I am not complaining though. I love making baby blankets for friends and family, but they can get very tiresome as you slog through rep after rep. This feels like a sprint. I will certainly be using this technique of doubling up my thread again. It creates a great, fluffy texture and it also chews through yardage like nobody’s business.
