Blogged here, with an explanation of how I:
(1) convert the body to top down
(2) make a machine/hand knit hybrid

I cast on provisionally the stitch number at the join of sleeve and body. The yoke is hand knitted and the body and sleeves are knitted downward on my mid-gauge Taitexma knitting machine + ribber, tension 7.

I love my mid-gauge because the tension in the dial almost always matches the US needle size! Cool.

I decided that I’d prefer to have the neck curl inwards instead of outwards, so I did it in reverse stockinette instead of stockinette. I will try the same for the hem and sleeves because I feel like the ribbing doesn’t really go well with the sweater.
