Love this sweater! Fits great! (It isn’t actually fire red, but a nice dark cherry color) If you use the scrumptious yarn be careful when wet blocking, the yarn blocks really easily and I ended up having to take out about five inches from the bottom because it stretched too much! It ended up not being a big deal, but pretty scary at first. Also, I used the same Mini Mochi yarn as the model in the original pattern; When I hit the third row of entrelac the yarn started to turn green yellow again, I cut out that entire section of yarn because I wanted more blues to go with the red.
Overall not a difficult knit. The sweater goes by really fast since you don’t technically knit a front to it. This was my first experience with entrelac and it was so fun! An incredibly rewarding way to learn a new skill. Don’t be intimidated by the panel, so easy and YouTube has really great tutorials. The sweater is an easy top down. My only suggestions are to make sure you don’t cast on your entrelac too tightly and don’t try and make the sweater bigger as you knit if it looks too small (and trust me, it will look tiny). Stay on gauge and you should be fine, once everything is blocked and sewed it’ll come out perfectly!
