  • 12/11/10: Finished the button band and bound off! The knitting portion of this sucker is officially finished!! I’m so freaking happy. May eventually use the unofficial CPH pocket pattern found here.

  • 11/28/10: Finished the hood and wove in all the yarn ends while sitting next to a roaring fire at Timberline Lodge. Hells to the yeah. lol

  • 9/19/10: Finished the second sleeve.

  • 8/28/10: Took the doomed sleeve out of Time Out finally and finished it tonight. CO the second sleeve. So far so good.

  • 6/17/10: Picked this back up last weekend for a race day. I ended up ripping the doomed sleeve and starting it over.

  • 9/23/09: the truth of the matter is that i want to wear this hoodie by christmas. after knitting for 2 hours on the new celtic cable sleeve, it was just 4” longer. this simply isn’t knitting fast enough for me and i’m losing both interest and motivation. ripped cable back down to ribbed cuff for the second time this week, and will start over with the cables described in the pattern for the sake of my sanity.

  • 9/21/09: realized i increased only half as often as i needed to. the sleeve, though 95% finished, is skin tight and will not do. ripped sleeve back down to the ribbed cuff and started over, taking this opportunity to use a celtic cable pattern for the sleeves.

  • 9/11/09: 2/3 of the way through the first sleeve. the 2 at a time thing lost it’s appeal when i couldn’t find my 32” cable. sleeve is cruising along, i’m still enjoying knitting this and watching it grow.

  • 8/27/09: finished second front panel. CO both sleeves, knitting them 2 at a time in the round.

  • 8/11/09: finished first front panel, CO second.

  • 2/6/09: starting armhole shaping on first front panel. this thing grows FAST. haven’t worked on it much lately, as i’m doing some SSK’ing for V-day next week.

  • 12/30/08 2:37pm: still working first front panel. this project keeps getting pushed into hibernation for smaller, quicker knits. oh well, progress may be slow but i’m still super happy with it. :)

  • 12/3/08 1:03pm: after a long hibernation, i picked this back up and just finished the back panel! starting first front panel this afternoon. yay!

  • 11/5/08 9:01am: back panel has reached 14.5” and starting armhole shaping.

  • 10/29/08 3:23pm: i’ve hit 10”!

  • 10/28/08 8:34am: 8” into back piece, going smoothly. 2 cable repeats down.

  • 10/2/08 5:46pm: 2.5” into ribbing on 5’s, going to switch to 7’s for the last 1.5” of ribbing. all other ribbed pieces will be knit on 7’s.

  • 9/29/08 1:12pm: CO with 5’s for ribbing, currently on row 4. i’ve officially started! i feel like celebrating. this has been a long time in the making just to get CO!

  • 9/25/08 - dropped by Twisted today and loverly Shannon measured MeanBean and i after we’d admitted our gauge worries. much to my surprise, i’m 2.5” smaller than i thought. i’ve moved down a pattern size to the 44” and plan to CO with 9’s this afternoon.

  • 9/24/08 - halfway through swatch, i’m right at 5 spi with 8’s so i’m going to knit with 9’s. that should get me close enough to 4.25. i honestly don’t have the patience to swatch again.

  • 9/23/08 - bought my yarn today. decided to go cheap with it for my 1st sweater attempt. started swatch this afternoon.

  • 9/8/08 - joining in on the Twisted CPH KAL fun!! YAY! pattern is purchased, downloaded and printed out!! now to start thinking about yarn choices.
