Progress Notes:
Feb 12: Finished the butt and most of the body during the opening ceremony. I was passed out by the time Gretzky made his appearance.
Feb 13: So far I’ve finished most of the head. My hands really hurt from knitting worsted on such small needles. It’s ruining much of the fun of knitting during the Olympics, but they say “no pain, no gain”, so I’m doing the best I can. =]
Feb 14: Valentine’s Day, no knitting today. I’m taking this day to nurse my sore, aching hands back to health.
Feb 16: Body and head are nearly finished - all that’s left is to stuff it and BO the nose. The first 2 of 4 legs are finished. The legs go super quick.
Feb 17: All 4 legs have been knit! Starting the shell tonight or tomorrow. I haven’t had much knitting time the past few days, but I’m not worried as I’ve got plenty of time left to go before the closing ceremony.
Feb 18: Shell is turning out AMAZING - I love the technique to create the colorful hexagons. I am having so much fun watching this grow!
Feb 19: Finished the shell at work today. I plan to knit for a while tonight, maybe I can get the shell bottom knit before I fall asleep. lol
Feb 22: Stuffed the body and shell last night, finished all seams except the legs. Shellen is a quadriplegic right now.
Feb 23: DONE!! Limbs are sewn and eyes have been attached (I did that last). Overall, I had a great time knitting my female version of Sheldon, but I don’t think I’ll be making another like I’d originally planned.
