Cast on during summer holiday. Will be knitting a tube and adding an afterthought heel in at the end.
My daughter liked the yarn so much she has asked if they can be for her. So, I had cast on 64 stitches and this would have been way too big for her so I have reduced gradually towards where the heel will go and now am knitting 56 stitches.
The yarn is super and self striping makes the knitting whizz by.
October 2017 - as much as I absolutely love this yarn, I’m having to frog as I knit the wrong size for my daughter. Will cast on again but with 56 stitches from the start.

Notes for Ella’s sizing:
Cuff - 18 rows 2 x 2 rib (1 repeat of each colour)
Leg - 72 rounds (8 colour stripes)
Added afterthought heel placement yarn
Foot: Ella is size 6 (approx 9.5”). Heel should take 2.5” and toe should take 1.5” therefore rest of foot needs to be knit to 5.5”. Using Louleigh’s toe.

So I didn’t like the afterthought heel and I frogged again!!! Have now gone for a regular heel flap and gusset. Then 48 rows until starting toes. Am doing the rounded wedge toe from the Vanilla Latte socks.
