Notes

4/28/08: DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE!! dances It’s finally done! I got a bit scared with the sleeves, because I realized that I had never attached sleeves before. Well, not where I cared how they looked. And I sewed the buttons on with my sewing machine, cause I really wanted to finish it tonight. But I absolutely love it.

Only mods made was making the sleeves a bit longer (which was a good thing, cause they’re the perfect length), making the collar 4” long instead of 5” and I didn’t do the 2 knit rows at the end of the collar. I had originally wanted to do the hooded version, but I didn’t think I had enough yarn so I did the collar. Then I realized that I could have done the hood! D’oh! But I LOVE how it turned out so I am really glad I did the collar instead.

I’ll get actual pictures tomorrow.

4/24/08: Finally blocked last night. Should be seamed starting tonight and hopefully finished soon. Still need to find buttons.

4/15/08: Finished the second sleeve last night. I was hoping to get them blocked, but I finished too late. But I should get them blocked tonight then I just have to seam and knit the button band/collar. And find buttons.

Interesting fact: the sleeves took just under an entire skein of yarn. I think the remaining tail on the second sleeve (which was knit with a new skein) is under a yard long. I kind of wish I could make the hooded version, but I don’t have enough yarn.

4/5/08: Finished first sleeve, an inch or so of the second done. Things have been going slow because of moving, but I have no internet or cable, so what better to do when I’m sick of unpacking then watch a movie and knit?

3/11/08: I finally finished the right front. I’m going to attempt to knit the sleeves at the same time, but I’ll have to see how that actually works out. The snow is melting, I gotta get knitting!!

2/3/08: I finished the left front last night. I’m hoping I can keep going at this pace and get the sweater finished before Spring.

1/26/08: Back is done! And thank god for Ravelry, because I couldn’t remember what I used for the smaller needle. Hooray for Ravelry!

1/22/08: I haven’t been able to work on this lately due to the other projects I’ve had going. No new pictures, but I just got into the arm hole shaping on the back.
