This stunning piece was much simpler to make then I expected. I love it! That said, had I realized before choosing my yarn (something I did before I had bought the pattern) that the maple leaves were knitted separately and appliquéd to the finished cape I would have knitted them in a complimentary hand-painted colourway. Also, if I had realized sooner that the motifs were simply repeated straight across the garment I would have worked them one way to the middle then reversed them, … a simple adjustment that would have produced more matched sides. That said it isn’t as noticeable as I worried it might be while I was working it. It is a truly outstanding garment and I do thank Ms. Pott the talented designer for her fabulous creation and inspiration, … and for sharing it! This is an exceptional addition to my collection and I’m so happy to have it.
