A dear friend asked me what I was giving to myself for my birthday, and this is it. A luxury wrap that caught my eyes a long time ago. I have been waiting to cast on because I was searching for the right colour-combination. I think I have it at last.

I love everything about this shawl. The colour-blocks, my colour-combination, the touch of the yarn.

The Dyeforyarn merino-silk has wonderful colour-range, so deep and so subtle. And the yarn is so soft!

C1 - Blue platinum
C2 - Dark damson
C3 - Blue shadowstorm
C4 - Fading memory
C5 - Poisoned berry tart

As my colours goes from very pale to very dark, I was concerned that the darker would bleed, but there were NO BLEEDING whatsoever!

There is not much to say about the pattern. It’s well written. A lot of garterstitch. Remark the slip the first st with yarn in front, and the pick up st will be easy. And it will look neat on the back.
There is a lot of ends to sew. It’s a good idea to do this as you go. I didn’t.
