21 colors, steeking and lining, oh my!
January 13… I’m changing the name of this to the Doomsday Bag. I can’t even think about how many times I’ve had to go back while purling to fix the short rows!
February 12…I finished the band while waiting for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies to start. I’m going to go ahead and block it out and do some Ravelympic projects before starting on the body. (16700 of 38178 stitches complete) 43%
March 15…Back on board…I picked up this project again and am setting a blistering pace trying to finish for the end of the month. I decided to cast on and knit one color set a day for this week. (I’m busy with Photo finals as well, due next week.) I’m at least making progress.
March 16th…I’m through the 3rd color set! #4 starts tonight!
3/20…About half way done with the body! Yea! But I’m giving myself a break and letting my self work on the gussets for my Mystery socks for a bit before returning to the bag!
3/20…back to it tonight. I was captive on the couch with my daughter sleeping draped across from me and this was the only project I could reach. Finished up the lightest section of the body and started the next section going darker again.
3/22…Well the goal was to have the body finished within a week. That would have been last night, but since I spent the entire afternoon, night and most of this morning in bed getting over something I’ve decided my week will end tonight. Then we will see what a weeks worth of knitting has gotten me. And since I’ve met my goal (or will have, I have 10 rounds left, I get to buy an extra skein of Sunshine at the update today!)
3/23…I finished the body!!! 30590 stitches done toward my OWL! 80% done! Off to research steeking!
AHHH! I just steeked it! I made it through it all but I’m still a bit shaken up!
3/28 The knitting is done! The knitting is done! I’ve got some Duplicate sitiching left to do, but…I’m done knitting!!!
3/29 It’s pieced together and in desperate need of interfacing and lining. All I’ve got left to knit is the icord edge!
3/31: It’s done! It needs some stronger interfacing, but it’s done!
