Finally choose a pattern to join in with the Colour Adventures Yarn KAL! Used 50 g of Lace.
Before blocking: 120 cm/47” x 28 cm/11”.
After blocking: 132” x 33 cm/13” cm/60”.
When the scarf was finished I overdyed with a tiny bit of purple Jacquard dye so it would match some of my other clothes. I can still see the semi-solid undertones left from the original colours.
I have admired this design since it was first released, at long last I am going to make one!
Repeats stopped at 6 leaves on top edge, 18ish grams of yarn used.
Pattern is charted and written.
The written version is small type with no visual clue or spaces to help you keep your place - everything is crowded onto the page. I have used different colour highlighter pens to underline the RS rows - so all my increase rows are now colour coded.
The charts have big blank spaces and no guidelines between the sections making them hard to follow - they are also quite small - if you want to use them, then I suggest enlarging them and drawing in some guidelines.
Some of the abbreviations could be a little better explained e.g. RCO 4 - knit 4 sts, then lift the first 3 sts over the last knitted one, then lift the st that was already on needle over too, i.e. 4 sts bound off.
Decrease section - I knitted to 2 stitches before the 2nd marker and then k2tog. This meant I had exactly the correct number of stitches before starting chart C.
In the last decrease section I also used k2tog before the stitch marker.
