Notes

14 Jul 10: Received the yarn from Carrie today for a test knit of her new design.

17 Jul 10: Doing gusset decreases now. The pattern is easy to memorize and you hardly need to look at it when knitting because it’s easy to read the stitches as you knit. With any luck I will be done with sock #1 tomorrow, ready to start #2.

18 Jul 10: Done with sock #1. Love love the simple instep pattern - simple enough but holds your interest with the peppering of purl ridges.. This is the first time I have taken the stitch pattern all the way towards the toe and I love it!

21 Jul 10: Done! I only had a ping-pong sized ball of yarn left. This is unusual for me since I never knit really long legs for my socks.

The dark colour streak is a bit of a disappointment but it’s pretty overall. Thanks to Suzie at Kollage Yrans for throwing in the skein of yarn to test knit this pattern with.

And thanks to Carrie for the shout-out in the blog and the pattern itself. It was sheer pleasure knitting for you.
