28 May 2011: Completed Chart B.

31 May 2011: Started Chart C. Will need to work C four times total.

5 June 2011: Halfway through the yarn after row 18 of the first pass through Chart C. Starting the second ball (50.4 grams) at the beginning of row 19. 44.6 grams left at the end of row 24. (That gets the number of repeats down to what the original pattern called for. From now on, each pass through Chart C and the final Chart D will use the same amount of yarn as on the original pattern.) Starting the second pass through Chart C.

7 June 2011: 27.3 grams left at the end of row 24 of the second pass through Chart C. (If I’d done the pattern without repeats, that would have been the first pass through Chart C.) I still have one quarter of my yarn left. Fingers crossed. At the end of the third pass through Chart C, I have 14.7 grams.

8 June 2011: Finished. 5.1 grams of yarn left. Finished shawl weighs 95.8 grams. Loosely measured size, pre-blocking, was 40 x 20 inches. It’s pinned to roughly 50 x 25 inches for blocking.

This shawl will be donated to an online auction to benefit GPA/Tallahassee, a group rescuing greyhounds from the Jefferson County Kennel Club track. My white-with-black greyhound, Jacey-Kasey, raced there.
