Fit
This fits perfectly--so with no room to grow. The arms are quite skinny. I would have made a size up if I’d seen the result first.

Pattern
Great basic pattern for modifying with color work, bobbles, etc.

Modifications
I translated the pattern to in the round so the yarn colors flowed and transitioned evenly up the body. Went up to the armpits then split and continued the front. Used another ball for the pocket and omitted the pocket lining rows as I wasn’t sure how they worked on the final sweater. Now I get it and might add them next time, but probably not.

Later modifications
He outgrew the head opening in days it seemed. Since I seamed the shoulders together a little wrong, it made the neck a little too small, but also this should have been a size bigger.
After much fiddling with the felted seams, I managed to pick out the seams and remove the hood to re-do with a bigger opening.
Head circumference: 21” = 75-85 sts around the neck.
