Modified this tulip leaf pattern by adding a couple rows and sewing two WS’s facing out together to make a sturdy ear. Pattern more or less as follows.
Ch 20
Row 1. back loop only. in 2nd st fr hook scinc, hdc, 5dc, 5tc, 4dc, hdc, sc, 4sc in last st, other side sc, hdc… mirror first side.
Row 2. sc inc, 19sc to penultimate st, ch1, dc iss, ch 2, sl st into front 2 loops of last dc. other side. dc in 3rd st of row 1, ch 1, sc iss, sc to end (~20).
Row 3. 2scinc, hdcinc, 6dc, dcinc, 4dc, hdc, 7sc, 4sl, ch1, mirror.
