Yellow will be main colour (MC), green contrasting colour (CC).
This pattern is fantastic! My French is very limited but a simple google translation did the trick. It has stitch and row count all the way for 5 different sizes and also measurements in cm, which makes it really easy to adapt to different yarn weights.
Back
Leg 1:
With 3.0mm needles and CC, cast on 41 sts.
Work in 1x1 ribbing for 6 rows (1.5 cm).
Change to 3.5mm needles and MC and work in stockinette for 14 rows. On row 15, increase 1 stitch on each side, 1 stitch away from edges (43 sts). Continue working in stockinette until you have worked a total of 28 rows (6.5 cm). Leave these sts on hold and start Leg 2.
Leg 2:
worked the same way as leg 1. Do not fasten off.
Body:
Join the two legs in the following way: knit the first 43 sts from leg 1, increase 4 sts, then knit the 43 sts of leg 2 (90 sts).
Continue working in stockinette. On each side, one st away from edge, work 1x1 decrease every 18 rows and then 4 times 1 decrease every 16 rows. You will knit 125 rows like this (28.5 cm from ribbing) ending with 80 sts.
Work on the wrong side 31 increases spread evenly (111 sts).
Switch to needles size 3 mm and work 1/1 ribbing with 1 knit stitch at each end to form the yoke.
On the next row, shape the armholes by binding off on each side: 1 x 5 sts, 2 x 4 sts, 2 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 stitches and 2 x 1 stitch.
There remain 65 sts.
Replace 1 purl stitch at the ends by 1 knit stitch.
Neckline:
At 8.5 cm (38 rows) from yoke height, shape the neckline by binding off 13 sts at center and then continue by decreasing on the inner side of the strap on every other row: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts.
There are 15 sts for 1 strap.
Work with 2 knit stitches at each end for 15 cm (66 rows).
Work a buttonhole of 3 sts in the middle of the strap and form the rounding, casting off on each side: 1 x 1 stitch and every 2 rows: 3 x 1 stitch, cast off (7 stitches remaining).
Repeat for second strap.
Front
Work legs and body as back until it measures 13 cm from ribbing. Continue working front as back and then as pattern.
I’ll embroider the bunny on the front using duplicate stitch. Working it in stranded colourwork wasn’t looking very nice.
This pattern is fantastic and I do not dislike the finished product. But for some reason I can’t explain, this was an absolute knitting mojo killer!
