Notes

LOVELY yarn! It was purchased as a kit and I have one skein of each color leftover.

The chevron stitch pattern was fun to make but the sweater pattern itself is difficult to get a good fit. I think bottom up patterns that are knit in the round like this are difficult to fit and it was a mystery if this would fit. But if you love this sweater like I do, and you are a fairly confident knitter, I would give it a go. I had to do a lot of adjusting and speeded up my yoke decreases and if I hadn’t, this would have been enormous. As it is, I’m happy with the fit, but would caution someone who is not confident with adjusting patterns for fit. I also added more short rows to the upper back.

Sleeves ended up being too long and had to remove about 3” after I blocked.

Some tips:

Make sure you put markers between the repeats.

Write out the entire pattern row by row for both sleeves (for the increases) and yoke (for the short rows and the decrease rows). It takes only a few minutes to do that but then you can knit away and not think about it too much.
