Notes

Great pattern with a super neckline and lovely bell sleeves. A few beginning knitters at work want to knit a sweater, and I think this pattern will be a perfect beginner project. Knit in the round with simple side shaping.

The yarn, the new Lima by Rowan is super soft and nice to knit with. The colors are heathery and very beautiful, all of them. The yarn is a bit pricey, but when I gave the skein a squeeze, I knew I had to buy it. I initially bought this yarn for Seneca, but the delicate cables looked too clumsy in this yarn and felt Lima would do best in a simple sweater like Hourglass. I am very happy with it. I’ve worn it with jeans all day, and dressing it up with a skirt and some jewelry for a dinner party tonight. I added inches in length, but other than that made no changes and the fit is perfect.

If I didn’t have SO MANY MORE patterns I want to knit, I would knit this lovely pattern again!

(11/6, I’ve worn this twice now and it is a very warm yarn! Gifted to daughter)
