2.2 yards to the gram and @4 g per 2 row repeat so each 2 row repeat takes almost 9 yards. Note that the 4g measurement was taken on white yarn, not teal.

With Blue Yarn (Colour B): So, on size 7 needle, I can get 58 2 row (1RS / 1WS) repeats i.e. 4 full-pattern “24 row” repeats and another 10 2 row repeats. That’s approx 116 rows at 159 stitches per row.
With White Yarn (Colour A): On size 7 needle I can get 70 2 row (1Rs/1WS) repeats i.e. 120 rows at 159 st per row.
As I was reading the pattern at the yarn shop, I misread that one would need more of Colour A than Colour B but one uses quite a bit less of Colour A than B. Wish I’d realized this before purchasing - though I did guess just by looking at photos of the finished object. As it happens, I’m just going to stop at the end of using 4 balls of Colour B and I’ll keep the extra 2 balls of Colour A.

In the end, I cut 3 of the 24 row repeats and got to 39” in length (and 33” in width), after washing and drying. The item felted ever so slightly but not problematically.
I have 69g of the teal left and 227 g of white. I should be able to make a worsted colour-work cowl out of the remnants and maybe even have enough of the white colourway for a second project…
This is a lovely finished object but man, it’s a tedious knit. I don’t think I’d make this again in anything other than the smallest size (which is prob too small to be useful). Well, I might make the throw size in a neutral palette but not for a long time. And that one, I would not be willing to give away! Hopefully the new baby will enjoy this along with his parents.
