• Japanese short rows
• no pleats on sleeves
• added Chart A to sleeve ends

I am alternating skeins as I knit. This is the first time I have used this yarn. It’s very soft and lovely. The slightly variegated colors have short repeats so I’m hoping this will not have that unfortunate color pooling.

5 April 2014 - This is working up quickly. I finished the waist shaping. I tried knitting the pleats on the first sleeve, but I don’t like the way they look. So, I knit Chart A on the sleeve. I decreased 10 sts after the lace pattern so it wouldn’t flare. I knit the twisted stitch ribbing like the collar. First sleeve done! This will be my first sweater with elbow sleeves. This pattern is well written and easy to follow.

6 April 2014 - Second sleeve done! I need to finish the body, and then the button band.

7 April 2014 - Body finished. Ready to pick up stitches for the button bands, sew on the buttons, soak, and block.

8 April 2014 - All the knitting is done! Time to sew on the buttons. Maybe by the end of this week.

10 April 2014 - I soaked it two days ago, and it still has some damp spots. On the plus side, the yarn bloomed and grew even softer. It’s lovely.
