Having not the same gauge I used a smaller needle size and cast on one pattern repeat more.
It’s an easy well written pattern, I had no difficulties in any way.
I would suggest stitch markers for every pattern repeat for the first 6-8 rows until you have the the pattern rhythm internalized.
It’s not a good idea to knit the biggest part in midsummer.

The blue and green colors as well as lilac are mostly gifts from Renate or leftovers from other projects.
The yarn moving from yellow over red to yellow was a gift to my late Aunt for a sweater. I let the yarn wind in a shop where Venne yarns could be wind in any color shift.
The bag with the sweater parts slipped behind a shelf where my Aunt didn’t find them any more so the sweater was never finished. The parts I found after her dead looked quite good when still knitted but after being ripped you could see the damages by moths. I used the yarn anyway though the moth damages caused a lot of work to repair.

Before machine-washing size was 225 x 116 cm. After drying 250 x 130cm.
When I picked the blanket from the machine I noticed the ROWAN-yarn having felt visibly. I don’t mind because it gives the blanket some sort of stableness.
I’m considering washing the blanket once more to make the fabric more dense because it seems to me a little holey. Perhaps it would have been better to use another needle size smaller.
Washing was done by using the washing machine’s wool washing program at 30 degrees celsius.
