Notes

I practiced stupidity at its best.
Three times I produced a horrible mess. Nothing seemed to look like in the pictures. I doubted about my intellect to be able to learn this cast-on and set up the pattern.
Then I knitted the instructions word for word and - tadaaaah - success. Now I was not content with the color impression and changed main color and contrasting color.
OK: I don’t have enough of the main color, and I don’t want to buy new skeins. It’s stash-busting-time.
My decision was to simply take another DROPS Delight yarn, when the main color has finished.

Next I didn’t like the way of casting on in the pattern and did it my way by Emily Ocker’s cast-on.
In one of the pictures you may see how smart it is.
I finished legth when I could estimate the rest of the white yarn. After having completed the I-cord the remaining yarn had 3grms which was barely sufficient for another row.

The fabric is very warm and dense because of the pure wool which is barely plyed. So it didn’t lengthen after machine washing with 30° Celsius and dried without blocking. If I wanted to give it more length I would moisten the edge and block it.

Our small Persian, a mishap in breeding, found nearly starved in the street, likes the shrug very much and loves being carried around in it.
