Notes

This is such a fun project!

The little mitten is soooo cute. I just love that it is a “real” mitten with even the thumb knitted in the round.

The snowflake as written in the pattern wouldn’t hold up very well as the weight of the buttons was pulling down the horizontal “legs” so I cheated on that one and made a crochet snowflake wich I soaked in starch and blocked.

I filled my little basket with a piece of green lace, but I’ll maybe get back to that and actually am going to put in some “knitting needles” (toothpicks) and a tiny ball of yarn.

Another change I made was that I left out the crochet edge on the heart and substituted it for a patchwork stitch.

The triangular Santa is so cute! I love that the basic piece is doubled up, it’s not floppy at all and looks so neat.

With the rest of the ornaments I followed the patterns rather closely.

I did not make the garland itself, instead I pinned all my ornaments on a large straw wreath. Maybe I’ll make the garland for next year, if I can figure out a place where to hang it.

Finished just in time on the morning of the 24th, yay! This was really fun.
