Notes

08.11.2013
I wore the sweater happily and quite often in its original colour. But since I learned that my seasonal color type is summer I have to get rid of the warm colors. I died the sweater blue and it turned out great. I’ll have to make a new bow, though. Maybe red and white candy striped in garter stitch.

20.10.2011
It’s done! I made a garter stitch bow from the remaining yarn which I can pull through the center tab. This sweater is going to be put to good use this winter, it’s comfy to wear, not too warm for heated rooms and warm enough to go outside on a nice sunny autumn day. I really like this design and the versatility, it even looks good without any accessories, the tabs are decorative by themselves.
Sleeves are VERY puffy and sweater is a bit on the loose side, but not too baggy.

19.10.2011
Almost finished, only a little sewing to do. The sweater turned out a little too loose for my taste, I still haven’t mastered size calculation to perfection. Can’t wait to see the finished product …

11.10.2011
Progressing nicely: Front, Back and first sleeve are finished and blocked, 2nd sleeve is cast on. Since the office where I work tends to be overheated in winter, I have decided on short sleeves and if my calculations turn out right, they are going to be puffy.

02.10. 2011
I’m on a business trip to India and was able to get my bamboo knitting needles past the security check, yay! I knitted half of a sleeve on the 7 hour flight.

20.09. 2011
The back is finished and blocked and now officially “cat approved”. She insisted on sleeping on the damp knitting, I think she likes the smell of the wool detergent.

13.09.2011
I started it today, the 2nd day after my Carpal tunnel operation since the doctor recommended “finger exercises”. Knitting was a little painful at the beginning, but proved beneficial after an hour or so.

The pattern looks a bit drab, but it’s easy to knit (which was important for my “therapeutic knitting”) and I think the overall design will make up for the slightly boring pattern.

I intentionally picked this rather neutral color (which reminds me more of cafe au lait than toffee) to be ably to combine it wiht a multitude of scarves.

I am planning on puffier sleeves than in the original pattern.
