I crocheted the tusks instead of using felt - using white 8ply acrylic yarn (held double) and a 2.5mm hook;
6ch, sl st to last 2 sts, work 2sc, finish off. Make 2.

I also added a tuft of hair to the end of the tail - I secured the starting tail of yarn on the inside of the tail with a few stitches, then poked it to the outside, cut and frayed the end.
