9.14.10: small oval leather buttons purchased at Tender Buttons - italian leather, $3.50 each, but this is my first handknit sweater so I threw all caution to the wind. It’s just money! hahahaha! :) The sweater is still drying, so when it’s dry I’ll sew on the buttons and take some photos of myself wearing it.

9.12.10: everything done, ends woven in, just need to knit the neck and front edge trims. YEE-HA!

8.14.10: 2nd sleeve done! Time to finish the body. Thrilled to do something other than knit in smallish circles. :) Each sleeve required just over one ball of yarn - didn’t think of weighing the 2nd ball to see how much.

8.7.10: One sleeve finished, starting the 2nd. So much better now that I can knit without looking! Reading + knitting, subtitled movies + knitting, = stockinette flows by pretty painlessly.

7.26.10: Ready to do the sleeves, but don’t have the right needles. grrr…..will get them tomorrow!

7.23.10: LOVING knitting this! the pattern is easy, even for a novice, and the yarn is just wonderful to knit with; i watch in awe as beautiful fabric flows off my needles.

7.18.10: cast on, while flying home from my daughter’s wedding. I’ll always associate that wonderful experience with this sweater.

6.30: swatch showed i need to go up a needle size. yay for swatching! now i get it.

6.29: swatching! I’m actually swatching! Go, me!

The color name for this yarn is ‘avocado’ but to me it looks like cooked green peas. Which of course makes it perfect for the Peasy. Peas-ey Peasy. Get it? :)
