Die hat mir den Mund wässrig gemacht auf den Weihnachts-Mystery von Dibadu - ein Tuch in Brioche.
Und da ich ewig kein Brioche gestrickt hatte, ein bisschen Aufmunterung brauchte, noch nie Originalgarne von Dibadu verstrickt hatte ….. und überhaupt :)!

Garn bestellt und vorgefreut.

02.12.2015:
16:30 Garn angekommen, wunderschön und kuschelweich!!!! Genuß-Wickeln mit der Hand war angesagt, je 1 der 3 Stränge je Farbe.
17:12 Fertig mit Wickeln, angeschlagen ----- ewig nach 2 Spielnadeln in 4,0 mm gesucht, schließlich 1 Bambus und 1 Ebenholz gefunden ---------- und los!
21:04 Die ersten 24 Doppelreihen im 4. Versuch fertig!!!
Rechts und links verwechsle ich nicht nur im richtigen Leben, und wer nicht aufpasst, muss halt ribbeln :)!

Schluss für heute Nacht, ab ins Bett! Nachdem ich eine Lifeline eingezogen hatte, lief es fehlerfrei :)! Reihe 125 - tolle Anleitung, macht richtig Spaß!

Noch 40 Doppelreihen, dann kommt Teil 2!
Der sieht suprespannend aus, das bisher sehr lang gezogene Tuch bekommt mehr Breite!

Einige kleine Fehler sieht man kaum, und mittlerweile kann ich auch wieder Brioche reparieren :)!

Samstag hatte ich das Ribbelmonster zu Gast - und zwar ausgiebig …

Wer lesen kann, ist klar im Vorteil :)! Anstatt den Brioche-Mustersatz nur so oft zu stricken, wie es in der Anleitung stand, hatte ich ihn bis Reihenende wiederholt - das habe ich dann gesehen, als ich mir die anderen Schneeverwehungen im Spoiler-Thread angeguckt habe, und nachdem ich meine Lifeline zu Beginn von Abschnitt 3 gezogen und mit Abschnitt 4 angefangen hatte …
Also den kompletten Abschnitt 3 (puuuuh!!!) aufgeribbelt, OHNE Lifeline zu Beginn - jetzt kann ich so gut wie alles im Brioche reparieren, einschließlich gefallener Maschen über diverse Reihen und bei Ab- und Zunahmen … und das war dann auch mein kompletter Samstag-Nachmittag …

Gestern nachmittag hatte ich dann Teil 3 der Schneeverwehung neu gestrickt - jaaa, so ist es richtig und gefällt mir supergut!

Danke für das wundervolle Garn und die wunderbare Anleitung!
Allein die Abkettung habe ich verändert: Anstatt einfach abzuketten, habe ich mit einem angestrickten I-Cord nach Purl Bee abgekettet, alle Maschen als rechts Maschen abgekettet, und beide Farben dafür abwechselnd genutzt, so dass die dunklen Maschen dunkel und die hellen Maschen hell abgekettet sind. Der Purl Bee I-Cord hat den Vorteil, dass er sich wirklich rund um die Kante legt und somit zwei “schöne” Seiten hat.
War eine ziemlich mühsame Angelegenheit, hat sich aber gelohnt!

She showed me the Christmas mystery of Dibadu - a Brioche shawl.
As I did not knit Brioche for an eternity, as I needed something to be happy about, as I had never knitted the original Dibadu yarns ….. as anything :)!

I ordered the yarns and became so excited.

02.12.2015:
4:30 p.m. The yarns arrived, oh so beautiful and so soft! These beauties have to be eound by hand, pure joy to wind 1 hank of each color into a ball!
5:12 p.m. One ball of both colors is wound, and go! ----- searched everything for double points in 4.0 mm, finally found 1 bamboo and 1 ebony ------ and started!
21:04 The first 24 double rows are finished, in the 4th try :)! I do not only mix up right and left in real life (in germany purl stitches are called “left” stitches), and who doesn’t take care has to start new :)!

That’s it for now, my bed calls! After I had drawn a lifeline, I made no more mistakes :)! Row 125 - a wonderful pattern, so much fun to knit!

05.12. - 11:00 a.m.:
Only 40 more double rows, then I can start with clue 2! This one looks so exciting, the very long and narrow shawl will become a lot wider!

06.12. - 2 a.m.
Part 1 ist finished, I am excited to start part 2!

07.12.:
Part 2 is finished, I love this shawl!
Some small mistakes are hardly visible, and I am able to fix faults in Brioche again :)!
Waiting for next Friday …

On Saturday, Mr. Froggy was my guest - and he visited me extensely …
Those who can read are really lucky :)! Instead of knitting the Brioche pattern so often as the pattern instruction said, I had repeated it up to the end of the row - I recognized the mistake when I saw the other Schneeverwehungs in the Spoiler Thread, and after I had pulled out the lifeline at the start of part 3 and already had started part 4 …
I decided to frog the complete part 3 (pooooh!!!), WITHOUT the lifeline at the beginning - now I really can repare nearly everything in Brioche, including stitches that have fallen for several rows and increases and decreases … that was my complete Saturday afternoon.

Part 4 would be finished now - but I still have a lot of yarn left, so I will add a few rows - and I will try an idea for casting off, WITH a lifeline :)!

Finished!!!! Now the shawl is slowly drying!
Thank you for a wonderful yarn and an awesome pattern!

I only changed the way of casting off: Instead of a simple cat-off, I cast off with attached I-Cord after Purl Bee, casting off all stitches as knit stitches. I used both colors alternately, so the light stitches are cast off with the light yarn and the dark stitches are cast off with the dark yarn. The Purl Bee version of the attached I-Cord really goes around the edge, showing two “nice” sides.
This was quite a labor of love, but it was worth it!
