I swatched for this, and had to go down to a US 5 needle to get gauge…which is really weird because I’m a very tight knitter. I don’t know what’s up. I decided to go up from the 12 month size to the 18 month size just in case I’m counting something wrong or my gauge swatch is lying. It’s a vest, it’ll work out.

8/5: I keep losing track of where I am on this! I’m on Row 25 now. Need to keep notes so I can easily start back up again. :) OK, now halfway through Row 26.

8/9: Going through second repeat of chart, finished Row #20. I’m starting to wish I had made this in the 2T size, as it’s looking like it won’t be long enough.

8/16: A lot of work has gone into this on our trip to Alberta. I finished up the main knitting of everything today in the car and need to seam up the shoulder straps before picking up and knitting the ribbing around the arm holes and collar. I lost my cable needle somewhere in Canada and stopped at Make One Yarn Studio in Calgary, AB to purchase a new one. She was out of stock, but gave me one of hers! Knitters are just so darn loving. :)

8/18: Finished! Now for a soak and some blocking.
