Pattern is a bit confusing, so I am making mods:
Row 3: chain 3 and then dc in next 2 stitches, ch1 then follow the following pattern all around dc in each stitch for 3 stitches, ch 1 at the end join by slipping in the top stitch of the chain 3. (total of 30 dc’s)
Row 4: chain 4, sc in the ch1 space of previous row instead of making the very last sc at the end of the final ch 4, finish the row by making a slip stitch in the first chain of beginning chain 4 (piece may pucker a bit) Fasten off first color

--Next time I think I will use a smaller hook.
