--My first adventure in knitting with laceweight yarn. There is a KAL for this pattern and I am hoping the comradery will help me along.

--Getting lots of “practice” ie cast on, knit a few rows, count is off, rip out, cast on again. (((sigh)))

--5/4/2010 Well, I cast on once again. This time I am going to try it with smaller needles…the 5’s are working up looking more like spider web than lace. I cast on using a 10 1/2 straight needle to give a nice stretchy edge, then knit the first row or two with size 4’s, but then decided to go down to a size 3. I think this may be working.

--Hallelujah! This baby is FINISHED! Haven’t worked on it much after the cold weather kicked in, but I was determined to finish it before the end of the year.

--I’m not totally pleased with my blocking along the edges, but I am going to wear it and enjoy it a bit before I attempt to block it again.
