I can’t find this pattern on Ravelry, and don’t want to add it, because I don’t know the name of the book it’s from - I just have a copy of the pattern which came with the yarn, from Bobbins in Whitby.

From the drawing, it looks as though this dates back to the late 80s/early 90s - and the sizing ‘one size to fit 32” to 40” chest’ would seem to bear this out. I started following the instructions, but soon decided that it was going to be too big for my 36” chest, so I ripped it back and started again with one less pattern repeat in the fronts/two less in the back.

The yarn is irritatingly two different shades, sometimes within the same skein if there’s a knot, so I’ve split it into light and dark piles, and am striping every two rows to try and merge it. It seems to be working so far, but this is the reason I don’t like Colinette as much as I’d like to.

I’ve finally finished this, it’s okay, but not my favourite FO by a long chalk.
