Am casting this on for the SweetGeorgia KAL!

October 23, 2011:
Finally finished the blasted twisted ribbing on the hem. As pretty as it is, I’m not a fan of knitting it! I did 26 rows of twisted rib (so 3” in total) rather than the 36 rows. I don’t think I would be a fan of such a thick waistband, even 3” is pushing it for me. I think the full amount would’ve over powered my short frame.

November 25, 2011:
After a small hiatus to work on some other projects, I’m finally back at knitting this up. Just finished the body last night and separated for the sleeves. Will finish the right front today with hopefully the last bit of what I have left of the first skein (which, for the lace bib I’ve been alternating with the second skein…but with so little of the first leftover, might as well finish it off).

I’m thinking I could have made the body at least a few inches longer as I think I’ll have plenty of yarn leftover. I decided to not do the extra length cause I didn’t think I would have enough yardage. Crap.

November 26, 2011:
Finished left front, almost done the back.

November 27, 2011:
Finished the back last night and decided while I was at it to just join the fronts to the back at the shoulders. Man I love the 3-needle BO method! Can I also say just how much I love this pattern too?? I’m not even finished knitting the cardigan and already I can tell just how well written this pattern is. How pleasantly and wonderfully surprised I was when I got every number count right thus far! And how brilliant that I got exactly the same number for how many sts to pick up around the armhole without the worries that the sts are too spaced out or close together! Pure love!

Mods:

• made hem and sleeve cuffs 3” of twisted ribbing
• instead of justing doing a purl st for the fake side seam I did the EZ version that uses a crochet hook (Purl Bee tutorial here - scroll down to almost end of the post!)
