This was, at times a frustrating knit for me. I think I need to come to terms with the fact that I’m not a lace knitter. It frustrates the hell out of me. However, I loved the finished product so much that I really needed to at least try.

The only thing changed were the sleeves. I decided to make things easier on myself and knit them top down. I picked up the stitches at the arms and knit the pattern as written, making it upside down. This doesn’t bother me and I don’t think it’s even that noticeable. I double decreased at the 6th and 12 row of the pattern at the center of the under arm. This was essentially every inch. I decreased 9 times, trying on as I went to determine the right fit. I decided to make these 3/4 sleeves as this is a summer sweater.

I’m not super thrilled with how wide the neckline is. It keeps slipping off my shoulder. I may re-do the neck.

I also need bigger buttons. The ones I chose are too small and don’t keep the sweater buttoned.
