We have a small bucket where we store the dogs’ rubber fetching balls. I’m making this mat to go underneath it to protect the furniture from scratches.

Using scraps of acrylic worsted/aran weight yarn.

One layer seems to be thick enough for my purposes, and I like the look of it without outlining the “petals”, so I’ll forego that step, too.

Fun and fast project-- just what I needed to stretch my fingers and inject a little scrappy color into the day! :o)
