10/31/10 FINISHED AT LAST! Today is my One year knitiversery..one year ago I bought my first pattern and it has been down hill from there…lol..

I used 742 yards of 30 wpi lace. I did this in the large size and used size 5 needles. This is yet another great Anne Hanson pattern!!!! I chose to do just single leaves on either side of the center spine on the point. finished size 70” across top, and 32” deep along the spine.

10/7/10 I’ve returned from the 10 hour car trip, 3 day camping adventure. Believe it or not I made progress! First thing I found out about my yarn was that I spun it much thinner than I thought. I guessed it to be about 24 wpi…..turns out it is 30 wpi!!! The shawl will be smaller than I was thinking, so mom might be getting a scarf rather than a shawl..oops. The pattern is moving along great, the pattern so far has been easy to learn. My biggest problem has been working with such a fine yarn, but I’m getting used to it :)

10/1/10 The yarn is spun and dry and time to cast on at last!
