Notes

So, I bought this yarn for socks, then I heard the Knitmore Girls talking about being disappointed with this yarn and color, as it knit into socks. So, to test the theory, I cast on for socks. It was as they said…the yarn, knit into a sock-sized tube, lost all the wonder of the dye-job and color.

A friend suggested that I try these mitts with the yarn. She saw the swirls, and thought it might be the perfect thing. After finishing the swirly part, I totally agree with her! Bonus, I’ll have enough for two pair from this 100 gram ball…maybe three! So, yay!

If you have any of this Vincent van Gogh yarn from Opal, try these mitts! It is a spectacular match!!!

Notes and Mods - Mitt 1 is a little snug, even though I nearly doubled the number of widening rows (for a total of 25). I’ll likely do at least four more rows on pair two. Yes, there will be a second pair.
