I found this pattern a little unclear. The brim is done over a 4 stitch repeat but the wording is confusing. To achieve the correct pattern:

P1 then pull the loop around stitches 2, 3, 4; then p1 repeat. On the inverse round, you’ll loop around 1 2 3 and the p4 outside of the loop.

For the brim I assume shift one stitch left, if it’s supposed to be right, I’m doing it wrong…
