Finished size: 8” long (with rim rolled up) x 8.5” wide at bottom (but it stretches)

Added a crocheted “faux” pompom as follows:

Round 1: (leave about a 6 inch tail for attaching to a hat later), ch 5, join with sl st to make a ring. (Sc, ch3) 25 times in ring. Join with sl st to first sc.

Round 2: Sl st in first ch-3 space, 4 dc in same space. 5 dc in each ch-3 space around. Sl st to top of first ch3. Finish off. I slip stitched down to the beginning round and used both tails to attach to hat.
