3/31/11 I saw the sample of the smaller “scarf-sized” version in MSK this afternoon and fell in love with the pattern! Knit charts A this evening = 120 stitches.

Modifications:
For the 2 st garter stitch border RS/WS, wyif slip first stitch as if to purl, wyib knit 1.
When forming ssk ~ slip first stitch as if to knit, slip second stitch as if to purl.

4/1-2/11 Finished charts B = 220 stitches. Started the edging. (The “purl 2tog through the back loops” is a pretty interesting stitch.) Eased around central division stitch. 37 edge repeats completed today.

4/3/11 Blocking. A fun, four-day knit.

My Notes for Future Projects:

For beginning tab, use one size smaller needle.

I used 364 yards/US#7 circs for the smaller version.

Blocked to accentuate the saw tooth points on the edging.

Love this interpretive pattern! Very well written. All the twists and turns were highly motivating and kept the project fresh. Will most certainly knit it again!
